How does it work?

Utilising computational audio, beamforming microphones, and open-ear speakers, Nuance Audio glasses provide a natural and discreet experience.

They connect to the Nuance Audio App which is essential for activating and personalizing the glasses to the user's audiological needs and preferences.

You can choose where to focus your hearing whether it’s all around you or directly in front of you. Customize the strength of background noises in your environment as well as choose between four pre-sets that adapt to your hearing needs and environment for the best sound experience based on the type of hearing loss you have.

They can be controlled using either the eyewear itself, the app, or a separate remote control, particularly beneficial for people with fine motor challenges or difficulty manipulating small objects. The glasses are stylish, lightweight and comfortable so you can wear them all day and turn them on and off as needed.

The Audio Mode configuration allows to choose the desired listening focus based on the environment:

Frontal Mode: This mode enhances sounds coming from the front.

All-around Mode: This mode amplifies sounds and speech from all directions.

The Background Noise configuration allows to customize the level of background noise to hear while using your Nuance Audio Glasses. Three options to choose from:

Heightened: Hear background noise at its original level.

Standard: Hear background noise with slight amplification.

Lowered: Minimize the amplification of background noise, making it less noticeable.

Choose between four pre-sets that adapt to your hearing needs and environment for the best sound experience.

1.      Ideal for flat mild hearing loss. This is for individuals who require minimal amplification across all frequencies. They may have some difficulty understanding speech and would benefit from general amplification.

2.      Best for sloping mild hearing loss. It is suitable for those who hear well in the lower (bass) frequencies but need some amplification in the higher (treble) frequencies. These individuals generally do well in quiet environments, but may struggle in more complex environments, such as noisy places or with multiple speakers.

3.      Designed for sloping moderate hearing loss. This is for individuals who have noticeable difficulty understanding speech in challenging situations. They may misinterpret sounds or miss parts of conversations and often rely on context or lipreading to fill in the gaps.

4.      Suitable for flat moderate hearing losses. These individuals have difficulty hearing clearly even in quiet environments. Speech may sound muffled or too soft, requiring extra effort to follow conversations.
